FDM - Fused Deposition Modelling
- Maximum dimensions: 300mm(X) x 300mm(Y) x 300mm(Z)
- Material: ABS
- Z-resolutions: 0.100mm – 0.200mm – 0.300mm
- Advantages: Cost effective and robust parts (compared to SLA). Perfect for making functional prototypes quickly
- Disadvantage: Low resolution
SLA - Stereolithography (Resin)
- Maximum dimensions: 145mm(X) x 145mm(Y) x 175mm(Z)
- Material: Formlabs Black Resin
- Z-resolutions: 0.025mm – 0.050mm – 0.100mm
- Advantages: Excellent accuracy and surface finish. Perfect for sales models or precision parts
- Disadvantage: Higher price and more brittle parts than FDM
