Embedded Software Designer

Skills sought:

Main tasks:

• Participate in the development of innovative products.
• Design embedded software solutions for multiple platforms (PIC, AVR, STM32, C2000, Sitara) in C/C++ (RTOS / Linux).
• Write scripts and software to support testing and production (Python).
• Startup and debugging of prototypes with the support of the engineering team.
• Technical documentation related to tests and requirements.
• Software release for production, updates, and support.

Required qualifications:

• University degree closely related to embedded software design (electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, mathematics, and computer science).
• Experience in software architecture.
• Development experience involving unit testing and code coverage.
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux operating system on computers and embedded systems.

An asset:

• Experience in product research and development (R&D).
• Basic understanding of analog electronics.
• Experience in writing drivers for Linux (kernel device driver).
• Experience in configuring custom hardware via Device Tree (Linux).
• Experience in wireless communication (Bluetooth/WiFi/cellular).
