Our design process is divided into 3 parts:
Analysis and identification of needs
In any project, it is essential to have a clear understanding of the client’s specifications and needs before starting the design. If we lack knowledge, we readjust at that point to fully understand the client’s domain, application and client.
This is a question that too few firms ask themselves: Is this idea commercially viable? Would I buy one? This exercise raises questions that lead us to improve aspects of the product to increase its value in the eyes of the consumer and our client.
Once the client’s needs are identified, we move on to the artist’s sketch to breathe soul into the ideas and steer the aesthetic of the project in one direction.
Design and testing
Throughout the design process, close monitoring using the Agile method is carried out in collaboration with you to ensure that our work meets your expectations. Using our many 3D printers and other digital fabrication machines, our prototyping artists carry out design iterations that allow us to quickly test and prove our ideas.
A concept remains a concept until it is realized. Once the first prototypes are made, they are immediately subjected to functional and environmental testing so that we can find areas for improvement and correct the situation if necessary. When the prototypes are ready and we are in the first small series, we do a rigorous manufacturing analysis to identify any improvements that could facilitate the assembly and quality assurance of our products.
Depending on the project, we can make prototype tooling for assembly jigs at this time or start the design for the final line. In all cases, we make sure to test and trial the on-board electronics and programming to ensure a quick start-up that gets to the point. Applicable certifications can be identified and performed according to your industry requirements. At Services Catalys Inc. we have always had environmental responsibility in mind from the beginning. Release into production
Going from prototype to mass production is an art in itself. Our experience in the manufacturing world allows us to understand the steps involved in bringing a product to market.
Supply chains hold no secrets for us, and the choices we make are designed to ensure maximum stability. Buying locally is a priority and, when this is not possible, we try to select our suppliers to shorten transportation times and optimize costs.
